TorontoMet shuts down CopyRite

June 21, 2024  By PrintAction Staff

Toronto Metropolitan University closes CopyRite, the university’s only student owned and operated full service copy, print, and communications centre.

A statement by the Toronto Metropolitan Students’ Union (TMSU) said, “It was the result of thorough deliberation by a previous executive team within the TMSU. This team painstakingly examined all potential impacts, weighing the pros and cons, and ultimately came to the conclusion that this closure would be in the best interest of the overall university community.

We want to assure you that the core intention behind this decision is to redirect our resources and efforts towards ventures and services that are more beneficial for our students. The student union is continually striving to find innovative ways to serve our student body, and this decision is a part of that ongoing process.
