Cimpress is buying a Ricoh Pro VC80000 high speed web-fed inkjet press. The technology platform will support Cimpress’s business VistaPrint, as it expands its capabilities and streamlines production with greater automation at one of its lead factories.

The Pro VC80000 is designed to produce direct mail, colour books, catalogues, magazines, and general commercial print applications on a wide range of media up to 300 gsm.

The latest investment builds on Cimpress’s adoption of toner-based technologies, including the RICOH Pro C9500 within the group’s European operations.
